| Ken Manwiller
began
his photographic education as a Visual Arts major at Kutztown University
in Pennsylvania. He has continued his studies with some of this country's
top photographers, Guy Grube, Victor Avilla, William McIntosh just to name
a few. Ken has also lectured to professional photographers throughout
the country on such topics as Understanding the use of Light, Wedding Photography,
Photographing Children, and Creating Family Portrait Albums. He has
won numerous awards for his photography both locally and internationally.
In 1990 he was awarded PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.
He won BEST

ALBUM
two
years in a row and the PRESIDENT'S
AWARD
for
his contribution to professional photography. He is a past
President of the Professional Photographers of Long Island and currently
a member of the Board of Governors for the Professional Photographers of
Greater New York. Ken brings passion and technical excellence
to his work. As Yousuf Karsh once told him "A photographic portrait
must reflect the humanity of it's subject." Ken requires a planning
session before a portrait session is scheduled. During the planning
session many topics are discussed, such as portrait style, the location
the portrait will be displayed, the location of the portrait session,
and how does the subject feel about having their portrait created.
